INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
Procedure for submissions: Submissions can include original papers, debate, articles, reports, reviews, commendations and obituaries. All contributions should be submitted via the journal’s editorial portal (https://submission.pubkit.co/publisher/165/journal/813/login?reason=) where you can set up an author account and submit your manuscript.
Submissions of original papers for peer review should normally be between 4,000–8,000 words in length, including the paper its title, keywords, references and an abstract, but author names and identifying details in the text should be excluded. Manuscripts should be supplied in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font size 12, using double spacing.
Language: Contributions should be written in British English throughout.
Abstracts: All papers must be accompanied by an abstract of up to 200 words in length.
Footnotes and endnotes will be accepted only under exceptional circumstances.
References should be compiled using the publisher’s house style. Full details can be found at: https://submission.pubkit.co/cfp/
Confidentiality and consent: All clinical material to be included in a submission MUST be presented in a reliably anonymized form. Contributors are expected to use all possible means to ensure that their submission will contain no information that will allow a third party to identify the patient and minimise the risk that the patient will recognise her/him/themselves. Contributors are expected to keep careful but discreet records about their decision-making. In general terms contributors are required to follow the procedure adopted in their own countries which govern the conduct of their work with human or animal subjects. If requiring further advice, authors are invited to discuss these matters with a member of the Journal’s International Advisory Board in their country.
Originality: Papers submitted for publication should not have been published elsewhere or be currently submitted to other publications.
Copy Dates: Whilst the Editor will welcome contributions at any time, authors should note that final copy dates for forthcoming issues will normally be on 1st January and 1st July of each year.
